2. The North American continent had many different organized groups of people. It resembles, at least to me, earlier Europe during the early/late Medieval times, but more cultured. They nations intersected but were, for the most part, small tribes who are beginning to spend time on art.

3. The Onondga, Seneca, Mohawk, Cayauga, and the Oneida joined together to form the Iroquois league or federation.  They formed this group sometime in the late 1500’s to encourage peace among the different tribes. All of them together as one unified force created a very powerful nation.

4. Hieroglyphs are pictures that represent an idea or thing in real life. They are used to communicate ideas to others. The Mayans used hieroglyphs.

5. In the Southwest adobe houses were the most common type of homes.

6. Maize, or corn, was the first crop raised in modern, Mexico. This stable crop was an essential factor in the development of culture in the Americas.
